Katherine (Kat) Schulz is a former police officer and school resource officer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Safety, Security and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University before attending law school at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Kat has served on multiple dependency, neglect and abuse panels in Northern Kentucky as both Guardian Ad Litem for children and as legal counsel for parents.
She devotes a large portion of her practice to assisting parents in achieving permanency for children in foster placement through affordable foster adoptions. Kat’s primary areas of legal practice are Adoption Law; Divorce; Custody; Child Support; Domestic Violence; Child Welfare and Friend of the Court Investigations; Cabinet for Health and Family Services matters; and Dependency, Neglect and Abuse cases.
Outside of the office, Kat lives in Alexandria with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time at her family’s lake house.
